This pages hosts the routes featured in the standard issues of RiDE.
There are two ways to find the routes. First, there is the new interactive map, powered by MotoGoLoco. This offers plenty of ways to find routes. All the routes from the current issue are shown on the main layer - the R with a star icon. Zoom in and select the routes to see them in detail.
You can download our routes from the interactive map as GPX files for Garmin and BMW sat navs and as ITN files for TomTom sat navs - and even as KML files used by mobile devices' sat nav apps. Just select the route you want, then click "Export". If your device is connected to the computer, you can even send the route straight to it.
To see routes from previous issues of RiDE routes, click on the other R icon. As this is a new feature, the back catalogue isn't extensive yet so older routes will still be listed below the map in date order. If you're not sure what issue a route was in, just use the "search" facility.
The interactive map also features bike-friendly accommodation rated by MotoGoLoco as well as routes from other users. You can even upload and share your own routes through the interactive map (just select the "Create" option on the left).
To view older routes (from 2014 or earlier) use the chronological list and click on the route titles to open a Google Maps version. Where a GPX file is available, right-click on the link to download the GPX file to your machine and open it with your sat nav's software. The GPX files will plug straight into a Garmin with no problems. If you use a TomTom, you can use the free Tyre software to convert the Google Maps routes into the correct format for your sat nav.
NB: Some PC users have had trouble downloading the files. If you have any difficulties, please email email@example.com with "GPX request" as the subject line and specify the files you require. We'll email them as soon as we can.

Run to the Sun
Organised into less-extreme days than high-mile ride we did in the story, this seven-day tour takes in the roads we used to reach Route Napoleon (and more good riding beside). Mileages are still more suited to experienced solo riders than novice tourists or two-up couples though.

Brecon Beacons Adventure
We strongly recommend using the Google Map link to get familiar with this route before riding it. The planned route uses a military road between Llywel and Tirabad which does not appear on the Garmin map. The sat nav route will take you to the start of the road, then suggest you turn around: keep going and, when you pick up the road from Tirabad to Llangammarch Wells, it will sort itself out. There is an alternative route to follow if this road is closed because there is a military exercise taking place.
