Buying a new bike can always be a fearful experience — there are so many pitfalls that can trip you up — and one of the biggest is financial. You normally worry that what you’re buying is going to be worth significantly less in a year’s time — especially if you’re buying new.

But it doesn’t have to be like this. Choose the right bike – a machine that’s on the cusp of classic status or is heavily in demand and it is perfectly possible to buy a bike, keep it for at least a year and sell it for what you bought it for.
